Independent Learning
I-CAR Canada offers a number of training programs through its Independent Learning option. 20 short courses (worth one-quarter of an I-CAR point) are available on-line, with on-line testing. These are identified below with the prefix “On-Line”.
I-CAR Canada also offers some 50 full courses, worth one I-CAR point. These are the same high quality courses that have been offered in-class, and are identified below with the prefix “IL_”. Under this option students access the course materials via the internet or by requesting that a package (including CD and printed material) be mailed to them. Note that for internet access to materials a broadband connection is recommended. The test is taken on-line, except in Manitoba where tests are administered at MPI locations.
